Hand and Arm Rehabilitation Robot for Hemiplegic Patient for Use at Home

Paralysis of the upper limb (hand and arm) in hemiplegic patient is difficult to recover, and it is thus necessary to continue the rehabilitation even after discharge. In this study, I develop a rehabilitation robot that enables both arm and finger rehabilitation with a single device through "customizable" hardware.

Home-based e-sports for Preventive Care among Elderly

In an aging society, the prevention of long-term care needs among elderly has become a major issue. Declines in physical and cognitive functions are known to be one of the factors leading to the deed for long-term care. Therefore, we are developing a e-sports aimed at maintaining and improving these functions.

Development of Medical DX Education in Vocational School Specializing in Physical and Occupational Therapy

In the field of rehabilitation, there has been a growing trend toward the use of engineering technologies, such as robots and systems that automatically measure movement. In response to this trend, I have independently developed and implemented an engineering education program (medical DX education, formerly medical ICT education) for students in rehablitation school.

Lower-limb Training System for A Patient with Impairment or for Care Prevention of People with Frailty

Standing up, sitting down, and walking are fundamental to daily life. It is thus essential for elderly to maintain and improve lower-limb function. In this study, I aim to develop an application that enables elderly to perform these activities independently.
